We have plenty of new tools and features to try in this release! Here’s what’s new in Insight:
Translation: Even Better Than Before
We have refined translations in Insight to read even more naturally and to keep terms and names consistent across the full book.
Insight first reads the book and builds a list of terms, character names, and other elements, which it uses to maintain consistency across the translation.
Insight also follows updated guidelines for more natural-sounding idioms, cultural references, and correct punctuation.
Try it: Open a document and go to Actions > Document Tools > Translate.
Proofreading: Generate a Ruleset from Your Style Guide

You can now upload your own style guide document into the proofreading tool. Insight will convert your document into a custom proofreading ruleset for you.
Also in this release:
- Your custom rulesets now appear at the top of the Proofread window.
- Word documents: better handling of small caps, italics, and bold.
Try it:
- Open a Word document or PDF
- Go to Actions > Document Tools > Proofread
- Click Open Rule Editor, then Generate with AI.

Visual Search in Chat: Find Images Inside Your Documents

AI Chat can now look at the pages and images in a document, not just read its text. Ask it to find images in a book or a document, and it shows you a gallery of images it found.
When you find an image you want to use, AI Chat can crop it, add a headline, or turn it into a new graphic. Your original document is never changed.
Try it: Open a document in AI Chat and ask, for example:
- “Find illustrations that would work for a social media post.”
- “Which pages would make good sample pages for a retailer?”
- “Crop the map on page 12 and add the headline ‘Explore the mountains’.”
Better Images with GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst
We’ve added OpenAI’s new image model, GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, to Insight. In AI Chat, this model lets you make more precise image edits, and you can also ask for transparent backgrounds.
In the Create Artwork tool, Nano Banana (Google) remains the default. You can switch to GPT Image 2.5 in the Advanced Options section of the tool.
Try it: Open a document and go to Actions > Image Tools > Create Artwork, or enter an image prompt in AI Chat.
AI Chat: GPT 6 and Claude Sonnet 5.5
GPT 6 is now our default model in AI Chat, and Insight uses this model for more backend processes as well. We’ve also upgraded Claude in AI Chat to Anthropic’s new model, Claude Sonnet 5.5.
Try it: In AI Chat, choose GPT 6 or Claude from the model selector.
EPUB: Conversion, Validation, Preview, and Editing

- EPUB 2-to-3 conversion: The EPUB Accessibility tool automatically converts EPUB 2 to EPUB 3 when you run a remediation job.
- PDF to EPUB (Beta version): The new PDF Convert tool turns a PDF into an EPUB or an editable Word document. It replaces Formatted extract. We recommend you check the results before publishing a converted EPUB.
- Alt text: Alt text now follows regional language variants, such as Brazilian Portuguese or Canadian French. Image-heavy books are also processed faster.
- EPUB Viewer: View any EPUB directly in Insight, with no download. Click the preview (eye) icon on your original file and in the Additional Files panel.
- Edit EPUBs in AI Chat: The new EPUB Editor skill can change styling, add or remove sections, edit the table of contents or text. You approve every change, and you can view the changes in the EPUB viewer.

Audio: Narration Styles and Languages

We’ve added new options to our audiobook tool. Choose a Narration Style and set the Language and accent, such as English (UK) or French (Canada).
Listen to a sample: You can listen to and edit the sample text, or choose a passage from the book itself. If you need a longer sample, try Actions > Audio Tools > Generate Sample.
Try it: Open a document and go to Actions > Audio Tools > Generate Audiobook.
Account Options
- Email notification settings: Choose which emails Insight sends you in the new Email Notifications card.
- Group Usage: Designate a person to see your organization’s AI usage against its monthly allowance.
Try it: Open your Account page from the user menu (top right).
